ScanTheAisle (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the ScanTheAisle mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the App.
1. Information We Collect
Personal Information You Provide:
When you create a profile in the App, you may provide your name, your partner's name, wedding date, location, budget, guest count, and wedding style preferences. This information is stored locally on your device and is used to personalize your experience within the App.
Photos You Upload:
When you use the scan feature, photos you upload are sent to our AI processing service for analysis. Photos are processed in real-time and are not stored on our servers after analysis is complete. We do not retain, sell, or share your photos.
Subscription Information:
If you subscribe to ScanTheAisle Pro, your purchase is processed through Apple's App Store. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. We do not collect or store your payment information — all payment processing is handled by Apple.
Usage Data:
We may collect anonymous usage analytics to improve the App, such as which features are used most frequently. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Personalize your wedding planning experience within the App
- Process photos through our AI analysis service to provide scan results
- Manage your subscription status
- Improve and optimize the App
3. Data Storage and Security
Your profile data, scan results, and preferences are stored locally on your device using the App's local storage. We do not maintain a centralized database of user information.
Photos uploaded for scanning are transmitted securely (via HTTPS) to our AI processing service, analyzed, and the results are returned to your device. Photos are not stored after processing.
4. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services:
- OpenAI: For AI-powered photo analysis. Photos are sent to OpenAI's API for processing. OpenAI's privacy policy applies to this processing.
- RevenueCat: For subscription management. RevenueCat may collect anonymous identifiers to track subscription status.
- Apple App Store: For payment processing. Apple's privacy policy governs all payment transactions.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We only share data with the third-party services listed above as necessary to provide the App's functionality.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
7. Your Rights
Since your data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it. You can:
- Edit or delete your profile information at any time within the App
- Delete all App data by using the “Reset App” feature in the Profile tab
- Delete the App entirely to remove all locally stored data
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the “Last Updated” date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
